Needs of jobseekers with blindness and low vision (pdf download)

Adjusting to vision loss is difficult, but there are resources available to help.

I’ve created a visual diagram outlining the comprehensive needs of jobseekers with blindness or low vision, highlighting three key areas: emotional and practical support, hard skills training, and career preparation. It emphasizes the importance of adjusting to vision loss through phases like shock, depression, and eventual self-acceptance, while also building skills in assistive technology, self-advocacy, and navigating vocational systems. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with vision loss to gain independence, effectively communicate their abilities, and succeed in the job market.
